Advanced Behavioral Health Consults · South Florida
Individual therapy, clinical supervision for Florida RCSWIs, and expert behavioral health consultation — delivered with cultural responsiveness and genuine commitment to your growth.
About
I'm Afia Tyson — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Florida Board Approved Qualified Supervisor, and the founder of Advanced Behavioral Health Consults (ABHC) in South Florida.
I built ABHC around one core belief: that people deserve support that actually meets them where they are. My work sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, cultural responsiveness, and real-world impact — and I bring all three into every therapeutic and supervisory relationship.
I specialize in individual therapy for clients navigating mental health, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions — providing neurodivergent-affirming, culturally responsive care across the lifespan. Telehealth available virtually throughout Florida and in-person across Miami-Dade and Broward County.

What We'll Work On Together
"My approach to supervision is rooted in collaboration, accountability, real clinical growth, and culturally responsive care."
— Afia Tyson, LCSW-QSMy Approach
Every relationship — therapeutic or supervisory — is built on the same foundation: genuine care, clinical rigor, and deep respect for the whole person.
Every client and supervisee brings a unique cultural context. I honor that fully — creating spaces where identity is respected, not minimized.
Affirming, strengths-based support for neurodivergent individuals — recognizing diverse ways of thinking, processing, and experiencing the world.
Whether in therapy or supervision, growth happens through honest partnership. I challenge, champion, and walk alongside every person I work with.
From adolescents to older adults — I bring a developmentally informed perspective to every clinical relationship, meeting people exactly where they are.
